Nirvana Mitra
I am a Research Director at CAFRAL (Reserve Bank of India), and an Assistant Professor (on leave) in the Department of Economics at Shiv Nadar IoE, India. I completed my Ph.D. in economics from Stony Brook University in May 2020. My thesis advisors were Dr. Marina Azzimonti and Dr. Gabriel Mihalache.
My primary research interests include macroeconomics, international finance, and political economy with a focus on sovereign debt and defaults. My other work involves empirical research related to misallocation and productivity.
